VGEA Invites Participation in Two New Surveys (Closed 7/26)

Surveys

VGEA Invites Participation in Two New Quick Surveys (Closed 7/26)

The VGEA created two short online surveys to gather important feedback from state employees and retirees.

Each survey took as little as 2 minutes to complete.

We asked that the surveys be shared with coworkers and retirees unfamiliar with the VGEA to get as many Virginia state employees and retirees to participate as possible.

Telework Survey #2

Help Us Shape Virginia Telework Policy: Let Us Know How Telework is Going

Open to ALL Virginia State Employees | Survey closed 7/26/22, 11:59 p.m.

Employees do not need to be a VGEA member to participate.

Earlier this year, we gathered information about experiences related to the administration’s new telework policy. We’re still advocating for changes, and we’re still receiving many calls and emails with questions, concerns, and frustrations about telework. This updated survey is designed as a check-in to help us determine how well the new telework policy is being implemented and where we need to focus advocacy efforts moving forward.

Note: If you responded to the first telework survey, please also respond to this new survey.

Legislative Priorities Survey

What’s Most Important to You? Help Us Determine the VGEA Legislative Priorities

Open to All VGEA Members | Survey closed 7/26/22, 11:59 p.m.

The Legislative Priorities Survey is open to all state employees and retirees who are also VGEA members. If you’re not a VGEA member and would like to add your voice and your vote, consider membership, and join us as we advocate together for Virginia’s employees and retirees.

The VGEA’s annual legislative priorities are developed in collaboration with our VGEA members, the VGEA board and leadership team, and through information gathered throughout the year at state and VGEA events. In this second brief survey, we are asking employees and retirees to help us determine our legislative priorities for 2023. Rate the importance of some of our current top priorities and then share your own ideas. These priorities will help us focus on the most essential, critical, and urgent issues and will guide our work with the General Assembly.

On behalf of the entire VGEA team, thank you. As always, if you have any questions, thoughts, or concerns, reach out to us at info@vgea.org.

Working to Keep Virginia Working

VGEA is the only statewide organization for the broad range of Commonwealth employees.

While there are more than 160,000 of us working in a vast array of professions and jobs, we unite in a desire to be recognized for our dedication to making Virginia a great state.

In short, The Commonwealth of Virginia works because we do!

Whether it’s increasing salaries, improving work conditions or any of the many other employee issues, VGEA is here to help address them all. A strong association with representative members is recognized and invited to decision-making tables in state government. We strive to be relevant, from the 21-year-old new employee to the 100-year-old retiree.

Every employee benefits from the experience and dedication VGEA brings. VGEA matters because you matter!
